We get this question a lot! Our name is pronounced "ō· sē· tō". It's our fun play on the Spanish word osito, which means "little bear, baby bear or teddy bear" since we have connections to both the language and bears...
Austin's mom was from El Salvador and quite proud of her heritage, including the Spanish language. Meanwhile, bears have always played a special role in our little family. In fact, we often called our kiddos "little bears". So we love that our name lets us honor these important connections!

It was born from the challenges of motherhood, but is designed for any woman who juggles messes, movement, and moments of care – whether that’s feeding/ burping a newborn, helping an older adult, caring for yourself, working with clients in beauty or wellness settings, or simply managing the busy rhythm of everyday life.

No. For now, our product is not waterproof. At its core, the Care’digan™ is meant to take the messes so your favorite clothes (and skin) don’t. So, we opted for a rib knit that stands up well to punishment, without the need for chemical treatments. And we’re optimistically watching new innovations in materials development, which include high-performance natural fabrics.
No, we believe that with our roomy, mid-weight fabric, you’ll remain comfortable in most indoor environments. Of course, everyone has a unique body temperature that may change – especially during pregnancy and well into the fourth trimester. That’s why we designed The Care’digan™ to accommodate 1-2 layers of clothing or nothing at all underneath.
